This week I decided to do a little Diva/Band Mixtape. I mixed up with some funk and some disco. Found time to include a little rap which of course started in the 70′s. If you don’t know all the lyrics to Rapper’s Delight…you are not a black music fan!In that section Todd Kelly dropped through. [...]
we have Missy Elliot, Lil’ Kim, craig mack, mc lyte, busta rhymes, Eve, ralph tresvant, mary j blige, dj hollywood, doug e fresh, lost boyz, Jeff Redd, B.I.G, Brandy, and Zhane…
This week I took the Monday Mixtape back to the 80′s. The 80′s Smooth Grooves Volumes are very popular so I blessed you with another edition. It should be called the Divalicious and EJ session because my sister suggested half the tunes and EJ have been giving us these tracks on his OSWs. Some of your favorite podcasters dropped in:
This weeks Monday Mixtape is all about the honorees of the Vh1 Hip Hop Honors of 2008. I have Slick Rick, De La Soul, Naughty By Nature, & Cypress Hill…Enjoy!!!!
Today’s Monday Mixtape is an oldschool artist spotlight on Barry White. I remember going to see his concert in 1995 at Madison Square Garden with my cousins. We sat behind Q-Tip and we was having so much fun…Q-Tip looked like he wanted to leave his date and join us! But seriously…Barry White was the ultimate love song soul singer. His songs had introductions that resembled foreplay..
My first podcast:
“I’m a little rusty and I’m working some kinks out…I’m kinda tired so I didn’t record an intro..not to mention Prince is hard as hell to mix because all of his songs begin very distinctively… but here because of the @JayMoney challenge…I present to you…”
For this Monday Mixtape I’m going back to one of my favorite music eras..Classic House Music of the 80′s and early 90′s. Remember the hankerchief in the back pocket? It was part of the outfit but you still needed it to wipe up the sweat!….
I am a huge Madonna fan! So in honor of her birthday, I put together some of my favorites:
…Our love is sooo strong that it kinda reminds me of being in love as a teenager. When you used to think that you really could be together forever. So for our anniversary mix, we picked love songs that we really loved from the 80′s….
Welcome to another Monday Mixtape! The early millennium was a fun time for me. Also a very trying time…full of deceit and it just so happens that the music reflects my moods. I have everything from Gospel, Dance R&B, The Sexy South to hard core MOP. Enjoy!
