I knew I wasn’t finished with 2008. There were too many pop artists who were awesome last year that I spent a lot of time listening to. Maroon 5 has always been my favorite band and this year’s offering from them was spectacular! Madonna and Janet made a couple of comebacks…although I think Madonna’s was better than Janet’s. Rhianna obviously has won Pop hearts all over the world…I’m not sold though. Adele promises to be the next sober Amy Winehouse and Pink let us know that she’s still a Rock Star. I could forget the teeny boppers Chris Brown and Jordin Sparks and what mixtape would be complete without Beyonce? (Stan alert)
Welcome to the Last Monday Mixtape of the year! I had so much fun this year doing these new music compilation mixtapes. We have: Mary J. Blige, The Dream, Young Jeezy, Lil’ Wayne, T-Pain, Kanye West, Will.I.Am, Charlie Wilson, Erykah Badu, Ne-Yo, Robin Thicke, Ludacris, Beyonce and many more!!

This week’s Monday Mixtape is showcasing some new music as well as some new artists! We have Yung Juggz, Nina B, Kahlee and Chris DeShield. Also some new tracks by Q-Tip, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Nina Sky, Ludachris and Busta Ryhmes!
I have been dying to do a Beyonce mix so this week I went in! Her new album comes out tomorrow and since I love picking singles off a new album, this weeks Monday Mixtape is compilation of my favorite Beyonce tracks mixed in with her new songs from the “I am…Sasha Fierce” album.
This week I was inspired by Barack Obama. He always plays “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder at the end of his campaign speeches. At first it kinda baffled me because Obama is in his mid forties. Then I remembered that it was probably his “Old School” choice. Every generation will have their “Old School” and I shudder to think that this stuff playing now will be the “Old School” choices for my 9 year old daughters (cringe).
The best of the biggest R&B girl groups of all times! The Supremes and Destiny’s Child!
This week I decided to do a little Diva/Band Mixtape. I mixed up with some funk and some disco. Found time to include a little rap which of course started in the 70’s. If you don’t know all the lyrics to Rapper’s Delight…you are not a black music fan!In that section Todd Kelly dropped through. […]
