I love collaborations and requests. This week @Kristaphere and I were jamming to last week’s Supremes and Destiny’s Child mix. She was hoping for the new song “single Ladies” to pop in but since I keep my concept mixes tight and true, I felt like I let her down because the song wasn’t on it. Sorry sis! Special shout out to @NecoleBitchie for hooking a sister up last week!

However, I have been dying to do a Beyonce mix so this week I went in!

Her new album comes out tomorrow and since I love picking singles off a new album, this weeks Monday Mixtape is compilation of my favorite Beyonce tracks mixed in with her new songs from the “I am…Sasha Fierce” album. She claims to have alter ego named Sasha Fierce. It was so funny when @Anewlis said, the name Sasha Fierce sounds like a statuesque Drag Queen (from the House of Extravaganza!). If the songs we hear on Sasha’s side are from this other personality…then Sasha has been around for a long time which you’ll see from the cuts I selected.

Quite often people say “Oh that Beyonce song sounds like _______ off her last album”. This is true, but with this mixtape I show her formula and it always works. There may be songs that sound alike but they still sound great! And for those who say tracks 7 and 17 sound like Rhianna songs…I agree but I also take it further and say that they sound like Rhianna if she stayed on key! Yes, Beyonce does Rhianna better than Rhianna!
