This Monday Mixtape is all about my birthday idol Mariah Carey. We all share a birthday with someone…and I do with Mariah! Mariah Carey has been an idol of mine for  long time. We share the same birthday and although she is 4 years older than me..she has always provided me with the inspiration to follow my dreams. From her first song Vision of Love, her incredible voice range has captivated us for yeas. In the beginning of her career, I thought it was odd that she kept releasing “generic” versions of her songs and remixes which were always catchy and filled with the hippest rappers and producers in the business. Of course we can all see now that it was absolute genius from a business sense and it also provided Mariah with a chance to step out of the songstress spotlight, relax and just be herself. As an Aries woman, I commensurated with her very public breakdown and her fight to regain herself and her image. I am very happy for her continued success and I wish her a very happy birthday…which was shared by me!

The Rock!

In addition to the plethora of beautiful people at Time magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World” gala last night, onlookers got a special treat as Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon made their first public appearance as man and wife.

Having been hitched in the Bahamas last week, Mariah and Nick looked happier than ever as they mingled with industry bigwigs and fellow celebrities during the gala, held at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City.

The “Always Be My Baby” singer looked stunning in a silver, sparkly gown, complete with plenty of left-hand bling, while her man donned a dark suit.

After the Time shindig, the newlyweds headed over to the celebrity-popular Waverly Inn for a late night dinner. But not before Mariah had a chance to change into yet another fabulous dress. She chose a strapless trench coat-inspired garment and she looked fabulous.

When asked how it feels to be married, Nick told press, “It feels amazing. My cheeks hurt from smiling so hard. I’ve been smiling for days.” And Mariah chimed in, “It’s comforting–and something I’ve never felt before. Which is really being in love and happy with someone who really understands me and isn’t trying to do anything but make me happy. It’s wonderful.”

It’s time for Mixtape Mondays!!!!!

This week I decided to do a mix of Diddy inspired music. There wasn’t a night that I was in the clubs that I didn’t hear a Puffy track. So I put some of my favorites together for this week’s mixtape “Diddy Makes You Dance Vol.1″

I hope he doesn’t pull a “bitchass-ness” move and have me shut down like he did “A Hot Mess” last week! That was really a hot mess! So to avoid that, I didn’t put the the track listing on this post. If he wants to know what’s on it, he better have someone from his team listen to it!
