Hey Everybody…A new month, a new Monday and a new mixtape. Once again I prove that I’m your favorite blogger’s favorite DJ. This week is a New Groove/NeoSoul collaboration that I worked on with SueZette for the relaunch of her website www.dearzette.com . It was also a good time to highlight some of the independent artists I’ve been listening to like Anthony David, Eric Roberson, Foreign Exchange, Yahzarah and Zo! Monday Mixtape: For Colored Girls Who Keep It Moving
Hey Everybody! I came up with this mix after watching the new Tyler Perry Movie “For Colored Girls” based on the play “For Colored Girls Who Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Wasn’t Enuf” by Ntozake Shange. I personally thought it was a good movie. I was thankful to see so many actresses of color working in a film about us. I am grateful that Tyler took the project on even though most don’t think he was qualified to do it. If he didn’t do it…who would have?
Anyway, considering my situation and the fact that I identified with most of the characters I decided to put together my own mix. I chose a song for all of the characters and for myself. I hope you enjoy it!

Monday Mixtape: The ExFactor (NeoSoul)
The Ladies have been calling for more Heartbreak music and I also needed something along the lines of this. Maybe it’s a music “Dear John” letter to my exes or it could be a purging which is also overdue for me. I experienced a lot of emotions doing this mix. I redid it twice because I wanted it right. If you have someone to say goodbye to or if you have already bid someone adieu, this is the mix for you. Full of Neo-Soul goodness from some of the finest female singers in the genre, I hope you enjoy it!

Monday Mixtape: Golden Workout Mix
My girl Golden aka Miss Jo_Ladie made a request last week for some workout music! Now me and her go way back…back to where we didn’t speak but moved around in the same blog circles (back when I was a personal blogger lol) Since arriving on Twitter and especially since my return back to NY…it seems we have gotten closer and that’s a good thing because I would never have know what a talented and sweet person she is. Amy Winehouse arrested for the crack smoking video!
Amy Winehouse has been arrested in connection with a video that allegedly shows the “Rehab” singer taking drugs, the BBC reports.
Police obtained the video in January after Britain’s The Sun newspaper published photos of the Grammy Award winner allegedly smoking crack. The paper also released footage of Winehouse, 24, in which she appeared to inhale fumes from a pipe.
