This Monday Mixtape is a special birthday request for Smarty’s World. Smarty is a wonderful writer/blogger from North Carolina that I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting in person yet, but we have become pretty close online. She had been mentioning that she really wanted a customized mix of her own for her 30th birthday and when I had availability in my schedule…Baby Girl was READY! She sent me a list and a zipfile with 40 of her favorite songs and hightlighted her absolute favorites. That made the job so simple for me to do because I had everything the “client” really wanted to hear. I only threw in one extra song but I think the mix is pretty dope with just her choices. My girl Golden aka Miss Jo_Ladie made a request last week for some workout music! Now me and her go way back…back to where we didn’t speak but moved around in the same blog circles (back when I was a personal blogger lol) Since arriving on Twitter and especially since my return back to NY…it seems we have gotten closer and that’s a good thing because I would never have know what a talented and sweet person she is. I went all over the place with this mix…playing some of my recent favorites like DJ Webstar and Lady Gaga…I also took it back to the oldschool..because…well because that what I do baby!
