This week’s Monday Mixtape is dedicated to my sister and BEST FRIEND Divalicious. It’s full of her favorite ladies from the 80’s!!! It was her 40th birthday and although I wasn’t able to celebrate in person with her in Memphis, she knows I was there in spirit. She is my very best friend.
Monday Mixtape: The Denzel Principle with Jimi Izrael
This mixtape is a step out of the box. Jimi Izrael contacted me and requested that I do a mixtape for the release of his new book “The Denzel Principle”.
This was a new experience for me..I took his selected readings…read by the Dizzle himself and laid them over popular instrumentals. I took some of the most recent R&B and hip hop songs and placed them between the tracks.

This week’s mixtape is fulfilling a request from a long term blogger friend. SueZette. We have such long history (maybe I’ll blog about it on the private spot Zette ;)) but I love this girl. She is magnificent and striking and intelligent…she was going in a couple of weeks ago on Twitter and I dug what she was playing so I offered to make her a mix. Mellow May – This mix was requested by my best friend Tutu. Yeah she’s my best friend. Divaliscious is my sister and Tutu is my best friend. She requested this mix for her b’day back in April and although I was still going to class at Scratch, I put this together for her. I used some of songs I was listening to in April and may…with some of the songs i used for my final at the Scratch Academy…with some of the songs I heard during Tutu’s birthday weekend…

My girl Golden aka Miss Jo_Ladie made a request last week for some workout music! Now me and her go way back…back to where we didn’t speak but moved around in the same blog circles (back when I was a personal blogger lol) Since arriving on Twitter and especially since my return back to NY…it seems we have gotten closer and that’s a good thing because I would never have know what a talented and sweet person she is. I went all over the place with this mix…playing some of my recent favorites like DJ Webstar and Lady Gaga…I also took it back to the oldschool..because…well because that what I do baby!
